I spent a full day walking through Brooklyn and Manhattan, observing how people move through the city and what they carry with them during their daily commutes. These observations led me to question whether there were unmet needs—and potential design solutions—that could make navigating the city more seamless and intuitive.
The City Jacket explores the idea of mobility within urban life. Designed for the rhythm of the city, it responds to the need for garments that adapt to constant movement and shifting contexts. The City Jacket is a multi-functional outerwear designed for New Yorkers on the go. Conceived as a short, double-breasted jacket, the design features a detachable hood that transforms into a tote bag—blurring the boundary between clothing and carry system, and redefining how a single piece can function within the city lifestyle.

PRINT & GRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT
I was drawn to the informal language of street writings and graffiti, capturing them through photography and translating these urban traces into graphic prints. By embedding these visual fragments into the design, the piece absorbs the city’s spontaneous expression and adds a layer of narrative and novelty.
